What Time is Noun O'Clock?

The time for Noun O' Clock shifts daily, depending on if the auction is extended due to bids coming in <5 minutes before the end of the auction, and depending on how quickly the auction is settled. Check on one of your favorite auction clients to determine how much time is left, before the next auction.

Similar to how anyone can settle the auction and select the next Noun. The Nouns artwork is CC0, any anyone can take it and use it, no rights reserved. Nouns invites artists to celebrate the daily Noun, and contribute to Nouns by creating the new Noun in your style. Share your work on Farcaster in /noc or on X.com and tag the Nouns account.

A few tips:
🏃‍➡️ Be quick. You’ll have 1–2 seconds to decide. Only one Noun can be minted per day, and others are watching too. ⛽ Turn up gas. Crank your gas fee to the highest setting so your transaction goes through faster. ⏩ Save yourself a click: Start the transaction, adjust gas to ‘advanced’ or ‘high’ in your wallet, then wait with the transaction window open to the side. Hit confirm as soon as the Noun you want to mint appears.

Because Nouns are generated randomly on-chain block-by-block, we can “peek” into the next block and see what’s coming. If you’re fast, you can choose which Noun gets minted.

Step 1: As soon as the daily auction ends, go to nouns.game/crystal-ball and connect your wallet. Step 2: You’ll see Nouns changing every block (about every 12 seconds). Step 3: When you see one you like, click the Crystal Ball emoji to settle the auction and mint that Noun 🔮

Noun O'Clock
Noun O'Clock happens right after the daily Nouns auction ends. It's the period between an auction ending, and another beginning where anyone can settle the previous auction.

When someone settles the auction, it sends the winning Noun to its new owner, generates the next Noun, and starts a new 24-hour auction.
